Dr. Aldwin Chan, DMD
My dental philosophy: I don’t harp. I’ll give best practices and work with you on the best possible options for your teeth. In the end, I believe you are the one who decides what is good for your own health. Helping you achieve good oral care through my experience and education is my commitment to you.
Favourite food: Sous vide cooking. Ask me about this!
What makes me smile: Cooking for my wife, my family and my friends.
What do I do when I'm not taking care of your teeth: Um… Cooking? Just kidding. I have recently started to play the guitar. I love biking and hiking. I used to climb mountains for fun.
If you must know: I graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2008. I then proceeded to do a general practice residency at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto where I refined my skills in oral surgery and periodontic procedures. I also volunteered in Guatemala to help underprivileged people. I have been practicing as a general dentist in Calgary and surrounding areas since I moved back.

My dental philosophy: In a few words, to provide care without judgement. I'm here to help deliver quality health care, as comfortable as possible.

Favourite food: Homemade apple pie with vanilla ice cream.

What makes me smile: When I see other people smile, or I know they are happy. Whether that is in the office, when we know we've done great work, or when I am enjoying time with family and friends.
What do I do when I am not taking care of your teeth: Coaching soccer, and working on a renovation project at home. I try to be an example for my kids, especially when it comes to effort and hard work.

If you must know: I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2001. I moved to Calgary in 2005 and have been practicing as a general dentist in the area since then.

Dr. Ivy (Qingqing) Liu, DMD

My dental philosophy: For me, it is about building relationships. Like all relationships, to make it work, we have to build trust and have an open discussion. I take the time to listen and understand your needs and from that provide the treatment options available to you. My goal is to be your trusted oral health care provider.
Favourite food: Chinese dumplings. Szechuan food.
What makes me smile: Spending time with my family.
What do I do when I am not taking care of your teeth: Hiking. Being with my family.
If you must know: I graduated from West China University of Medical Science's Dentistry program in 1992. My family immigrated to Canada in 2002, and I went on to study Dentistry at the University of British Columbia. I graduated in 2012 and have been practicing as a general dentist in Calgary.
